2008 Festival SponsorshipThe Traverse City Film Festival will bring tens of thousands of movie lovers to downtown Traverse City July 29-August 3, 2008 for a week of "Just Great Movies" in one of the most beautiful and unique resort areas in the country. The festival will present the best in independent movies, premieres, parties, free film industry panels during the day, and free family movies at night on a giant, inflatable screen on Grand Traverse Bay.As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the Traverse City Film Festival depends on the generous support of many individuals and businesses to make the festival possible. Sponsorships of many types are available at a range of levels. Charitable donations may be directed to general support of the festival, or may be tied to a specific movie screening, house, party, event, or panel. Donations to the Traverse City Film Festival are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law; our charitable solicitation license is #MICS35014. All movie sponsors have their name published and announced before the movie they sponsor and receive listings in the official program guide and on the web site, four tickets to the movie they sponsor, and two tickets to the founders party. Sponsors who sign up to sponsor a movie prior to the release of the film schedule in late June will be offered their choice of movies on a first-come, first-served basis when the schedule is released. Open Space Movies $2,500 Sponsors of the classic movies shown for free to the public at dusk in Open Space Park on a giant, inflatable screen are presented before as many as 6,000 festival guests.
